1.6 Creative Communicator

Students communicate clearly and express themselves creatively for a variety of purposes using the platforms, tools, styles, formats and digital media appropriate to their goals.

I have learned that Students can use digital portfolios to put together portfolios for capstone or research projects. It is an effective and creative way for students to communicate and demonstrate their learning and ideas by using a collection of digital works, such as essays, posters, images, videos, and artwork.

In my post, Digital Portfolio for Educators, I defined an excellent ePortfolio as a product (a digital collection of artifacts) and a process (of reflecting on those artifacts and what they represent). While many digital portfolio tools are available for educators and students to choose from, I investigated Bulb as one example in my post. I examined its usage in demonstrating learning and ways to present and share knowledge creatively.
